Owen Cooke – RTE News Six One
IRHA president Eoin Gavin and Independent Express Cargo founder Owen Cooke were today asked for their reaction to changes made in the budget by RTE Six One and Nine O’ Clock news. Eoin Gavin commented”the increase in carbon tax will drive hauliers to refuel abroad in countries like Belgium where diesel prices are now 12% cheaper”. Owen Cooke commented, “the 2% increase in VAT will impact on retailers which has a knock on affect to hauliers and will no doubt result in job losses in the transport sector”

Independent Express has for the last 10 years been the baggage transport supplier to the French Rugby Team (Le XV de France) when in Ireland This is done in collaboration with Irish Coaches who provide all the personnel transport for them.
For security reasons the France Rugby Team insist on known and trusted drivers who can speak French fluently which Independent is happy to provide.

TPN Annual Awards 2010
Johnstown house Hotel Enfield was the venue for the prestigious Pallet Network Ireland Awards 2010.
There was a great turnout and plently of hopefuls for the hotly contested Awards. The evening was a great succes and guests of honour included the team from the UK Hub and several UK depots. Food and wine flowed and dancing went on till late, a huge success as allways.
Congratulations to all of the winners and heres to an equally successful 2011.
