Attention all Exporters : Further Brexit changes are coming on 31 January 2024.
The UK Government announced in August 2023 its new approach to controlling imports of goods to Great Britain from the EU (including Ireland) in the Border Target Operating Model (TOM) which will apply from January 2024. All Irish traders exporting to Great Britain must take action to prepare for the changes.
In addition to existing customs formalities and other requirements, there will be new import declaration requirements and checks on certain goods, including food and other agricultural products.
If you export to the UK, you now should examine your supply chains to ensure they are ready for these changes.
