Brexit – Appointing Direct Representatives for Customs Clearance

Dear Customer,

With only a few more working days left before Brexit hits us, there is an urgent need to address shipping processes in order to avoid a complete disruption of your UK–Ireland or Ireland-UK shipments.

If you are importing from the UK via IEC/ TPN please read this section very carefully.

When booking import shipments with us, you will have to log the job on our web portal and ensure all the following 11 fields are completed on screen and then upload the invoice from your supplier to the job on our portal.

1Shippers address, VAT and EORI no.6Country of origin
2Consignees address, VAT and EORI no.7Description of products
3Incoterms (usually CIF)8TH (commodity code, taric)
4currency9Quantity of items
5Value10Nett weight and gross weight in kilos
11Invoice no. and date

You will also have to ensure your UK supplier has authorised our partners TPN UK to act as their customs broker for export entries out of the UK. The attached form for this has probably been sent to your shipper already directly from the UK but please make sure this is done to avoid a delay and it only needs to be done once.

Please email us some recent invoices and we will advise you on helpful changes to streamline the process and keep the cost of customs clearance as low as possible.
